Yesterday my sister rented a house a few blocks from mine (!) and is in the process of furnishing it temporarily until her divorce is final. She’ll probably receive most of her household items later on, but in the meantime, they needed a few things to make it more homey.
So, I offered to lend her some items from my house in the meantime. I lent her some of my towels….
I admit it, I’M A TOWEL ADDICT. We counted my towels and I have 50 (FIFTY- I had to spell that out because I couldnt believe it myself) towels in an assortment of colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TOWELS, the fluffier the better and mostly pastels. I’ve been known to stand in awe in the towel area at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Dragging me out of there without a new set was a constant joke between my husband and me. They just call me “Maria, Maria, you know you want to buy us, take us home and love us! “ LOL
But, that is why I dont SHOP at Bed, Bath and Beyond anymore, besides the fact that I have no more room in my linen closet, towels for me are not a need, they are a WANT.
But, my sister and her kids dont have towels of their own right now. I know that she’ll put them to good use and I dont really NEED that many towels anyway.

50 towels! Wow! Do you have favorite towels that are for ‘display only’?
P.S: I added your page to Stumble Upon!

Did you lend them to her or give them to her? Sounds like you don’t need them anymore, at least they’ll be put to good use now. I understand collecting items and how quickly a collection can get out of hand. Stay away from Bed, Bath, and Beyond your Budget.

Jonathan,
Yes, I have a few “display only” in my guest bathroom but they are completely usable, not those “untouchable ones.” And thanks for adding me to Stumble Upon.
Jim,
I probably have “given” them to her because it might be kind of weird to ask for them back.:)
And “Yes, sir!” in regards to staying away from BBB.
