I have a gorgeous dark blue Franklin Day Planner with refillable The New Yorker inserts. It has everything in it, including addresses and important events. I enjoy the witty cartoons and hilarious quotes. It makes me feel so professional and organized.

But, I have noticed that since we’re using a “Family” Calendar, I’m not using my Franklin as much. Sure, I still add things and keep track of my daily expenses, if any, but for the most part, everything is filtering through the main household Calendar and YNAB Pro for our finances.

This could be due to the fact that it’s not just about me and my stuff anymore. There’s Punkin Head to think about and the events that surround him.

Although I would love to refill it for the jokes and cartoons, it just doesn’t seem financially sound to spend $39.95 not including tax and shipping for something that I’m not using.

I will need to look into something to keep track of my daily expenses before they are entered into YNAB Pro but besides that, I’ll just keep it around as an address book.

Funny how having a child makes you change your perspective on things. I rather like having our activities listed on one Family Calendar. It makes us feel more like a family! LOL
